Beginners Course (On-Ramp)

This 6-week long course is a great way to improve your fitness. This is old school, guys. Think kegs, yokes, tires, atlas stones, chains, and loads of fun!

Poorly named, “Strongman” isn’t just for men, nor is it just for the strongest people out there. This program, like our general CrossFit program 'WOD', is fully scalable. There’s no requisite strength or fitness level to participate.

What will we do in Strongman101?

Your gym experience will feel a lot less like CrossFit and a lot more like Rocky IV. During the 6-week programme you will meet twice a week to learn how to flip tires, swing a sledge hammer, lift atlas stones, lift and press kegs, use farmer’s handles, and carry a yoke.

The training is a combination of strength training and metabolic conditioning and a guaranteed way to get fit, fast.

Strongman is a remarkable tool for building functional strength and capacity because, in part, of its ability to force athletes to execute movements in sub-optimal positions with odd objects.

There’s something about training with unique tools in Strongman that just makes hard work fun.

The course includes 2 sessions, Wednesday evening at 7:00pm and Saturday morning at 10:30am.

The price for the course is:

  • £40.00 for members
  • £60 for non-members

Come experience our workouts, our community and our coaches first hand. Classes begin with a group warm-up and an explanation of the workout and the exercises to be performed. The workout is adapted to each individual’s ability and experience.

Free trial classes are held every Thursday at 6:00pm and Saturday at 9:30am. You must register ahead of time before you can take class! Please arrive 10 minutes before class starts.
